Well at least the rain somehow manages to keep the trash from smelling. I'd rather take out the trash in the rain anyday than in the hot summer sun where the flies buzz, the magpies swoop and the cochroaches appear. hee hee
I hate taking out the trash in the rain - I have to go and put a raincoat on, or use an umbrella, which is hard when you need two hands to manoevre the bins into the correct position for collection!
You'll have to run between the rain drops, Joseph! Might motivate you to get the trash out sooner before the rain hits! But at least you guys might be getting some rain!!
I hate taking the trash out in the rain. I also don't like it so much when it's snowing. But that's when it's good to have a spud to send out. Some how a 6 year old can make anything fun.
Whereslanda,No our trash can always smells, we have a opossum that likes to sleep in it. Elaine, I just make a run for it! That Corgi : ), I managed to take it out in between showers so, I didn't get wet. We've been getting alot of rain lately, about a inch every week! Brenda Youngerman, Me too, except I hate having to change my clothes. Janiesplace, Lol! I wouldn't mind taking out the trash in the snow, I love snow! Thanks for the visit!
The heavy rain started after I took the trash out so, I didn't get wet. : )
Yes I did but, I wish I'd known the trash collectors where going to come late today because I could have taken the trash out after the storm and not before. : )
Look at all of my toy cars! I was just organizing them before I put them into a different box, but I had to move them a little early to make some roof for my new computer! So back into the box they went! I've always wanted to arrange my toy cars like this since I was a kid, when I would see them arranged like this in toy car collector magazines and books, I thought it looked pretty cool. Anyway I had to get a new computer because my laptop's screen finally went out and it was becoming slow. It would sometimes take couple of minutes to load a webpage, so I knew I had to get a new computer. I got a Lenovo from Microcenter. It's refurbished, but it looks and works like new. Microcenter also gives you a keyboard and mouse, but it doesn't come with a monitor unless you want one, but it will cost you a little extra. The whole computer with keyboard and mouse cost a hundred dollars with thirty dollar shipping, very cheap and works better than my laptop. The rea...
(Sorry there might not be sound, the video quality is not to great.) Houston and most of east Texas, got some surprising sleet and snow showers today. It wasn't that surprising since the weather forecasters have been talking about it all week, but they weren't sure if any precipitation was going to form, or not and if the precipitation did occur, if it would fall down as snow, or sleet, so it was a surprise. The sleet pellets were really big too! At around 6:20 am, when the first sleet shower started to pass through my house, I thought that the sleet might have been freezing rain, or maybe ice pellets, but when I ran outside I saw that it was sleet that was falling. The sleet was as hard as ice, but as bright as snow. The sleet drops looked bigger than I remember, back when Houston got a sleet storm back in December, 2004. Which made me wonder at first if it was sleet, or just ice pellets, but it was sleet! I'm glad that it was sleet. I've bee...
Going to join a new meme today called Two Shoes Tuesday from Josie Two Shoes! How it works is each week Josie writes a one word prompt where you can then share a short story, poem, essay, thought, or, photo relating to that word. We'll since today's topic is about shoes...... These are my current ones! They are just regular tennis shoes that my dad got me last Christmas! As far as shoes go I usually like to get running shoes, like the ones pictured below..... These are my old shoes. I've had them since late 2007. I still use them, just not as often. Only when I have to get into the mud or, dirt. Or, when I feel like running, since they are running shoes! The only thing that I don't like about running shoes is that I slip easily when I walk on wet tiles. My new ones pictured above have a flat surface so, I don't slip as easily.... I like my new shoes better but, I sometimes miss my old running shoes! I like to run so, running shoes have always been my choice...
