Impostor Kitty Video!

Hey this is the video of the impostor kitty "on the top" and below it is the video of the little kitty. I could only take a video of the impostor kitty at night since it only comes to eat at night so, I don't know if you'll be able to tell the difference between the impostor kitty and the little kitty. That's why it's called the impostor kitty! I hope you enjoy watching the videos!

I Got My Xbox 360 To Work!

Yesterday I opened up my Xbox 360 with my Xbox 360 opener tool and I replaced the modified fan with a unmodified one from my brother's broken Xbox. When I turned it on it still had the three red lights on it. So, I left it on and in about thirty minutes it started to smell like something was burning so, then I turned it off and then I turned it back on again and It worked! Just to make sure though that nothing was burning in side of it I decided to open it back up again and I couldn't find anything that looked like it was burning in it. So, I put it back together and I put my Midnight Club Los Angeles cd in it and I played it with no problems. There wasn't anymore burning smell and the fans were a lot quieter. I can barely hear them now. I'm not sure if it is completely fixed or not but, so far it seems like it is working fine. I hope it doesn't have anymore problems, I may have to add some more thermal paste to the heat sink later on. I think that might have been w

My Screw Up!

Yesterday when I was on ebay looking for a B-52's cd to buy I found a cassette tape that I thought was a cd and I bought it. I was annoyed when I found this out because I don't have a type player and I wanted to be able to transfer the songs to my mp3 player. Now I have to either go and buy a tape player or, I can just try to find the cd version of the B-52's album that I was trying to buy. The good news is that the tape only cost $4.00 dollars with shipping and handling so, I didn't lose much but, now I have to spend about $4.00 dollars more to buy the cd. Oh well, I would've asked for a refund but, they had already shipped it and I don't think I can ask them for a refund when they have shipped it because it says cassette in the description. Also I would have to pay $2.99 for shipping and handling and then I would just lose more money. I'll have to make sure that I read the description more carefully the next time I buy something from ebay rather than just

Dew Points!

During this year's heat wave I learned something new about the heat index that I didn't know before. I had always thought that the high humidity levels were the major cause of the high heat indexes but, on this past Tuesday when the heat index was 108 degrees. I noticed that the humidity levels weren't that high and the dew point levels were. The humidity level was 46% and the dew point level was 70. So I learned that the high dew point levels were the cause of the high heat indexes not the humidity levels. Although they can still help to rise the heat index though. So, that means that having a chance for rain like we did on Tuesday is not necessarily a good thing because if we don't get the rain and we get really high dew point levels then it could make it seem a lot hotter outside. Which isn't good for a city like Houston that already gets hot temperatures during the summer months. I'm glad that we've been getting some rain though.

We Got Some Rain!

Image
The white kitty was surprised by the rain yesterday when I let her outside the front door. She probably forgot that it rained in Houston and she just walked outside like normal until she felt little rain drops falling on her head and she ran back inside. I was really happy because we haven't had alot of rain in a while and we are in a exceptional drought. We got over an inch and a half of rain in my area which is good but, that's not going to stop the drought though but, at least it will help. There are more chances for rain today and I can see alot of rain on the radar so, hopefully will get some more. The more the merrier!

First Day of The Summer Season!

Today is the first day of  the summer season! We'll actually April was the first day of the summer season. Well for Houston it was anyway. The good news is that we have some chances of rain this week. Today, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday there is going to be a chance for rain. I hope we can finally get over a inch of rain. I was looking at the Houston drought monitor yesterday and I saw that we've had the driest Oct-May ever recorded. I also read that we are in a exceptional drought and that means that Houston is under a water emergency. That's not good. The only time we ever got over 2.00 inches of rain this year was on January 24. Which was the day that I had my heart surgery. I'm hoping that they don't change the forecast and that we get some heavy rain. They keep saying that we have a 60 percent chance for rain and then they change it to having only a 30 percent chance for rain. I'm hope they change it back. We need the rain. http://water.weather.gov/ahp

Happy Father's day everyone!

Banjo Tooie!

Yesterday I finally beat Banjo Tooie and It took me over 60 hours! I was surprised that it wasn't as challenging as Banjo Kazooie was because since Banjo Tooie is the sequel to it I thought that it would be harder. It probably would've be harder if they didn't give you hints and cheats that you can find in the game. One of the most helpful cheats they give you in the game is the regaining of life cheat that refills your health bar automatically when you get hurt. Normally you would have to beat an enemy before they would give you a honey piece which is what the life bar is made up of. Anyway I enjoyed beating the game. I had fun playing Banjo Tooie but, I didn't have as much fun playing it as I did playing Banjo Kazooie. Maybe it's because I had played Banjo Kazooie as a kid and it brought back happy memories of my childhood. I know I haven't been posting many posts lately. I'm still trying to finish watching the 24 of Le Mans race and I have been trying to

My Xbox 360 Got The Red Lights Again!

On Sunday when I was playing Midnight Club Los Angeles one of my favorite street racing games my Xbox 360 froze and when I tried to turn it back on it got the three red lights. I wasn't that surprised by this because I knew that having a fan mod on my Xbox 360 was bad but, I didn't know how bad it was until I looked it up on the internet. I had been meaning to look it up sooner to see why the fan  mod was bad for the Xbox 360 but, I was trying to do other things and I didn't get around to it. I asked a Xbox 360 repair man what I can do to fix it but, he hasn't responded yet. I'm probably going to have to send it to him. I wish I had gotten a Xbox with a Microsoft warranty on it so, that I could have gotten it fixed for free but, oh well. I'm probably going to have to send it to this guy to have it fixed. It might be better if I send it to him anyways because he knows a lot about Xbox's and will tell me if there are any other problems with it and how I can fi

Sleeping Schedule!

Since I've been getting to sleep late every night I decided that I was going to try to get to bed around 12 am at night and then wake up around 9 am in the morning. That way I can get at least 8 hours of sleep. I know that going to bed at 12 am is still kind of late to be going to bed but, I usually don't get to bed until around 4 am in the morning because I usually don't get enough time to play my video games during the day so, I play them for a couple of hours during the night but, since I am trying to stay healthy I decided that I am going to try to get to bed earlier. I'll just have to squeeze in some time into my schedule so, that I will be able to play my video games and still be able to get to bed around 12 am. I'll try to get to bed earlier than that but, I at least don't want to get to bed after 12 am. Except for these next few days because i'll be watching the 24 Hours of Le Mans!

Telephone Booths!

I've just gotten to the third disc of L.A. Noire! Do you remember when there used to be alot of public telephone booths on almost every street corner? We'll when I was playing L.A. Noire I saw that they have a telephone booth that has two sides, one side is for the police to use and the other side is for the public to use. I thought that was interesting because I didn't know that they did that in the 1940's. They don't even have public telephone booths anymore let alone one that has a side for the police and a side for the public. I think there are some left in airports and in some random shopping centers but, you don't really see them anymore. I think it's because everyone has a cellphone now and they don't need to use the telephone booths anymore. We don't even really use our house phones anymore and the only time we use it is when we lost our cell phones and we are trying to find it by calling it from our house phone. lol! I'm glad that everyo

Hot!

Today I heard that Minneapolis had a high of 103 this week and I was amazed by this because I remembered that they were having alot of snowstorms this winter. I think that it is weird. Also when I was looking up the weather on our local news station's website abc 13.com I saw that the high temperatures for June 5, and 6 was 105 degrees! That's Hot! And it still doesn't look like we are going to get any rain soon, but at least the temperatures are going to be in the low 90's this week and the humidity levels haven't been that high either so, it doesn't feel as hot. It's not even summer yet! I think i'm going to move up to the north were it's cooler. Actually in Troy, NY where my sister Julia is they broke their daily record high yesterday. It got to 92 degrees and their record was 91 degrees. Lol! That's the daily average high in Houston but, that's hot for a city that was still having snow showers in late April. I wish we could get some snow

Poblano's!

Every time my dad goes with me to the hospital we go to this Mexican food place called Poblano's that is in the hospital after I am done with my doctor's appointment. I always like to get the enchiladas from there and my dad always likes to get the Taco Salad. Today when we went to go see the doctor but, we took too long waiting for the doctor to see us that they stopped serving the enchiladas that they usually serve at around lunch time. So, I decided to try one of their burritos instead. I liked it but, I didn't think it was the best burrito that I've ever eaten though. I remember when I didn't have my inr machine at home and we used to have to go to the hospital every week and we used to go to Pablano's to get something to eat after I had my inr checked but, since I can now check what my inr is at home we don't have to go to the hospital every week so, we haven't been to Poblano's in awhile. That's why I was a little disappointed when I found

Yellow Jacket!

This is a video that I took of a yellow jacket in my patio last summer. I had alot of trouble finding out what it was because I thought it was a bee but, when I looked up large bees on Google images I couldn't find a picture of it so, then I looked up black and yellow wasp and I found alot of pictures that looked like the yellow jacket in my video. I thought it did look more like a wasp than a bee but, I didn't know that there was such a thing as black and yellow wasps though. So, I didn't think that I would find a picture of one when I searched for it on Google images. It still looks big for a yellow jacket. I'm glad that it didn't sting me.

Ten Year Anniversary of Tropical Storm Allison!

Image
Today is the ten year anniversary of tropical Allison. It brought alot of flooding rain to Houston. I remember seeing the water on the freeways and seeing all of the eighteen wheelers that were stuck on them. Allison caused 5.5 billion dollars in damage. Allison is the only tropical storm to be retired. There were alot of scattered isolated thunderstorms that came through Houston today. Sadly we didn't get that much rain from them because they barely hit us. I did see some cloud to ground lightning strikes and heard alot of loud thunder from them though. The reason we didn't get that much rain from them is because they formed right next to us and then they moved away from us so, we only got some light rain from them. Also it got to 101 degrees today. That's is another record high in these past two weeks and we probably are going to get another one tomorrow too with another chance of rain. What a great way to celebrate the ten year anniversary of tropical storm Allison.

More Information On Peacocks!

As I have begun my new journey to feed any of the peacocks that come across my front lawn I have been wanting to know more about them. I've already found out what is good for them to eat but, I was wondering if they ever get thirsty. I always leave a bowl of water next to the plate cat food and I've never seen them try to take a drink from it. I looked it up online and I found out that they do need water to drink and that they go in groups to get a drink of water and that they drink the water by dipping their beaks in and tilting their heads. They look like they are gurgling when they are drinking. I think you can see them doing this in the peacock video that I showed you. I'll try to show you a better video of it so, that you can see what it is looks like. Also another thing that I learned about the peacocks was that they do have ears it's just that they are covered up by their feathers. I was wondering this because I always hear them calling to each other and I've

Thank You Harris County!

When I was looking up to see what people have typed in a search engine when they have visited my blog one of the things that they typed in was "Are we ever going to get any rain?" That's a good question! But, i'm sorry I do not know the answer to that question. We might get some rain on Sunday or Monday but, there is only a 30 percent chance that we will get some. Anyways as I was looking up the things that the people have typed in the search engines that have found my blog. I found this Harris County website that shows you how much rain has fallen in Houston that day and you can even see how much rain has fallen in Houston in a whole year. Which I think is cool since i'm always trying to find out how much rain has fallen when we get rain in Houston but, I can never find that out. All the websites say different things so, I don't know which one is giving me the correct information. So, i'm glad that Harris County has made a website that will show you how m

Playing Video Games!

Since there are alot of different video games that I am trying to beat. I decided that I was going to play a different video game each day. I am currently trying to beat Banjo Tooie and L.A. Noire. Banjo Tooie is a fun sequel to Banjo Kazooie which is a game that I used to play with my little sister Julia and our friend Adam. I like it because you get to explore all of these different levels and you have to collect these puzzle pieces to be able to get to the next level. Although getting the puzzle pieces is easy trying to find them is hard because they give you alot of difficult puzzles that you have to figure out like that puzzle piece will be behind a wall and you have to find a entrance to that wall or you'll need to try and figure out a way to help a character in the game. I thinks it's really fun. So far I've found 66 puzzle pieces out of 100 in Banjo Tooie and i'm on the second disc of L.A. Noire. I think I might even be getting to the third disc pretty soon. I&#

Started Walking!

Since my dad and me are trying to stay healthy we started walking around our neighborhood for about 30 minutes almost every night. I prefer to walk in the day time but, my dad likes to walk after we eat our dinner and it is usually night time by then. At least there is not as many cars driving around as there is in the day time. So we don't have to constantly try to avoid them while we are walking. Also there are alot of trees in our neighborhood and you can hear all the sounds of the possums, armadillos, rabbits, and raccoons scurrying across our neighbor's lawns. So, in a way it's kind of fun to walk at night.

First Day of The Hurricane Season!

Today is the first day of the Atlantic hurricane season! Luckily we haven't had a hurricane since Ike in 2008 but, they are predicting a above average hurricane season this year. Also the Gulf of Mexico is going to be really warm because of all the warm temperatures that we've been getting. It's is supposed to get to 101 degrees on Thursday. More heat for Houston. There is a 30 percent chance that we'll get rain on Sunday but, we probably won't. Maybe we'll get a tropical low that will bring us alot of rain. I hope we don't get anymore hurricanes! Last time we had a hurricane in Houston we didn't have power for two and a half weeks! I enjoyed watching the hurricane but, I didn't enjoy not having any power though. Hopefully we won't get any hurricanes this year. http://flhurricane.com/
