Joined The A to Z Challenge!

Image
I've decided to sign up for the A to Z Challenge in April, where I'll have to make a post each day for each letter of the day. The A to Z challenge is in alphabetical order from A to Z and each day, except Sunday, i'll have to make a post starting with the letter of that day. So on the first day i'll have to write a post starting with the letter a, and then on the second day starting from the letter b, and the third day c, and so on.... I am really looking forward to this challenge! I've been wanting to do the April A to Z challenge ever since I first heard about it a couple of years ago and this year, I am going to try it! I hope I can keep up! Click this link to sign up!  http://www.a-to-zchallenge.com/

Mr.Shiny!

Image
Mr.Shiny was never whiny, but was always shiny, never wearing a frown, his smile could be seen all over town, everyday, people would smile, every once in awhile, when Mr. Shiny would come out to play. People would never frown when they saw Mr. Shiny Because every time people saw Mr. Shiny, Mr. Shiny would brighten their day, all their fears and worries would go away! This is the story of Mr. Shiny... Joining Joise Two Shoes in her Two Shoes Tuesday, click the link to join in, or see other entries. http://www.josie2shoes.com /

Crunch!

Image
I've never liked to hear things get crunched and I cringe every time I drive and I hear something crunch under my wheels, hoping it's not an animal. But something's that I do like that crunch are snow boots crunching in a thick pile of snow... http://mnprairieroots.com/2012/01/ And Crunchies! http://dinnerat3.blogspot.com/ They are very good European chocolates, from my aunt that lives in London, I think. I like them alot! Joining Josie Two Shoes in her Two Shoes Tuesday, click the link to join in, or see other entries.  http://www.josie2shoes.com/

Toy Cars And a New Computer!

Image
Look at all of my toy cars! I was just organizing them before I put them into a different box, but I had to move them a little early to make some roof for my new computer! So back into the box they went! I've always wanted to arrange my toy cars like this since I was a kid, when I would see them arranged like this in toy car collector magazines and books, I thought it looked pretty cool. Anyway I had to get a new computer because my laptop's screen finally went out and it was becoming slow. It would sometimes take couple of minutes to load a webpage, so I knew I had to get a new computer. I got a Lenovo from Microcenter. It's refurbished, but it looks and works like new. Microcenter also gives you a keyboard and mouse, but it doesn't come with a monitor unless you want one, but it will cost you  a little extra. The whole computer with keyboard and mouse cost a hundred dollars with thirty dollar shipping, very cheap and works better than my laptop.  The rea

A Nice Warm Week Ahead!

Well after those series of cold fronts and winter storms, Houston's weather is back to normal with high temperatures back in the 70's, this week. I hope it lasts! : )

Cherishing Chocolate!

Image
One thing that I cherish are my mom's chocolate cakes that she makes for us on our birthdays and on occasional special days. In face I must cherish them so much, that I forgot to take a picture of it. That must mean how much I like it! I like my mom's chocolate cakes so much that I ate it all before I had a chance to take a picture. I couldn't find a picture of it anywhere on my computer, I thought I had taken picture of it. That's why I had to draw a picture of it. Joining Joise in her Two Shoes Tuesdays, click the link to join in, or see other entries.  http://www.josie2shoes.com/

Surprise Sleet Showers in East Texas!

Image
(Sorry there might not be sound, the video quality is not to great.) Houston and most of east Texas, got some surprising sleet and snow showers today. It wasn't that surprising since the weather forecasters have been talking about it all week, but they weren't sure if any precipitation was going to form, or not and if the precipitation did occur, if it would fall down as snow, or sleet, so it was a surprise. The sleet pellets were really big too! At around 6:20 am, when the first sleet shower started to pass through my house, I thought that the sleet might have been freezing rain, or maybe ice pellets, but when I ran outside I saw that it was sleet that was falling. The sleet was as hard as ice, but as bright as snow. The sleet drops looked bigger than I remember, back when Houston got a sleet storm back in December, 2004. Which made me wonder at first if it was sleet, or just ice pellets, but it was sleet! I'm glad that it was sleet. I've bee

Tail, or Time!

Image
I want to write a tail, or should I write about time? I will write a tale..... Simon was a cat who lived inside his owner's house for twenty cat years, when his owner had suddenly left somewhere, but he didn't know where, he just packed a suitcase and left. A couple of weeks had gone by, still no sign of his owner. All Simon had left was his owner's family who fed him and gave him water. During those few weeks that Simon's owner was gone, Simon had thought that he had heard his owner's voice coming from a small black box that he had sometimes seen his owner talk into. Simon could barely understand the conversation, but it seemed to be something about his water bowl and making sure it had enough water in it. Simon was on high alert now, no not the water bowl! What did they want to do with it??? Simon spent a whole three days worrying about his water bowl and wondering if the water was going to some day run out. "Why did they need to worry about it, the

More Winter Weather on The Way?

PREV DISCUSSION... /ISSUED 448 AM CST SUN FEB 2 2014/ DISCUSSION... AT 10Z/4AM...COLD FRONT JUST NW OF A KCXO/KDWH/KTME LINE. AHEAD OF THE FRONT TEMPS ARE IN THE MID 60S WITH DEWPOINT TEMPS ABOUT THAT MUCH. BEHIND THE FRONT KCLL/KUTS REPORTING TEMPS IN THE UPPER 40S. THE EXPECTATION IS FOR TEMPS TO CONTINUE TO DROP AS THE FRONT PUSHES THROUGH SE TX AND OFF THE UPPER TX COAST. SUSPECT THAT MUCH OF THE AREA WILL HAVE TEMPS IN THE 40S BY AFTERNOON WITH SHALLOW COLD ADVECTION. COLD FRONT SHOULD SLOWLY REACH HOUSTON AREA AROUND 16Z OR 10AM AND THEN THE COAST AROUND 18Z OR 12PM. EXPECT AREAS OF FOG TO STICK AROUND UNTIL FRONT PUSHES THROUGH. DENSE SEA FOG MAY LINGER THROUGH THE MORNING ALONG THE COAST. THERE SHOULD BE ENOUGH MOISTURE FOR SCT SHOWERS ACROSS THE AREA SO LIKE 60 POPS. LATEST TRENDS IN HRRR SUPPORT THIS NOTION WITH GENERALLY 0.1-0.25 INCHES OF PRECIP. MAY BE SOME ISO HALF INCH AMOUNTS OF RAIN WHERE SHOWERS TRAIN ACROSS SOME OF THE SAME AREAS. POSSIBLE THAT ACTIV
