Nature Report 8!

Image
Hey and welcome to another edition of Nature Report!!!! Blue jay! I wonder if it's the one that I rescued? I doubt it. Some sign that I saw remembering the judge and commissioners of Harris County. I saw it near the trail that I ride on, there are alot of signs like this around there. I wonder why? White Dove? I think this is a white dove. And I think the above two pictures are of a mocking bird, i'm pretty sure. This is a bird that has been keeping me company along with the white dove when I was holding a sign for my dad's store. That's what I've been doing lately, I've been holding a sign for my dad's from 10am to 12pm for the past couple of weeks now. It's not that bad. I like to be outdoors! Skink! That's what type of lizard this is. They can have brown or, blue tails. I don't think they come in any other kind of colors, I've only heard of brown and blue. The blue color (I just read) means that it is a juvenile.

Nature and Galveston Trip Pics!

Image
Opossum! Don't know what this is? Looks like a mini snake or, a type of worm. Light brown or, yellow spider, don't know what type of spider it is. Some statue in the middle of Galveston. Nice colorful Galveston pier! The birds seem happy! Wonder why? Lots of dead fish littered the Galveston and Texas coast on Sunday August 12, not a great day to go the beach. You can read about it here,  http://www.kens5.com/news/ Some early 1900's or, late 1800's house that I took a picture of in Galveston, TX, look at the birds in the trees, can't really tell what type of bird they are. I didn't see them when I took the picture. Bridge that connects to Galveston. Back to good old Houston! Ok, that's it! I hope to bring y'all more! See y'all later!

Nature Report 6!

About these: I wasn't supposed to talk about them so, shh!!!! Spider eggs, we find them every summer, usually near the entrance.... One of the baby spiders. Adult, spider that I think laid the eggs. Black bellied whistling ducks, I think these are whistling ducks, found in George Bush Park. They have a red bill, long orange legs, black belly, and a large white patch on the back of it's wings. I was going to ride my bike to Cinco Ranch but, the path was still flooded from all the rain that we had gotten last month. I probably could have made it but, I was afraid of finding a snake or, alligator. I saw something moving in under the water when I was taking this picture, I think it might have been an alligator. I think this is the Mark's Ranch but, i'm not sure, you know that thing that I talked about before.  http://josephsreallife.blogspot.com Another week exploring nature, oh! And I forgot! I don't know if i'm supposed to s
