My Secret Cat

I'm going to Washington D.C. for the next four days. So I won't be able to make any new posts. Not that anybody really looks to see that I have any new posts. Have a Happy New Year. : )

Yesterday I decided that I was going to watch some new movies on Starz since we only get it for three months. I watched the Proposal which is a ok movie. Then I watched The Taking of Psalm 123 which I liked the most out of the new movies that I saw. Then I watched District 9 which is a movie about aliens trying to escape from earth. I thought it was interesting but, I thought it was kind of gross when they were cutting the main character's hands off. I had fun watching all those new movies since I haven't been able to watch any of the new movies anymore since we stopped getting all the movie channels that play the new movies.

There are two different ways that I've noticed that tamales are made. The kind you get at a restaurant is wrapped in banana leafs and is cylinder shaped. The kind that Rosa makes is also wrapped in banana leafs but, is pillow shaped. Which I think is the El Salvadorian way of making them since she is from El Salvador. I think that they both taste about the same and I was wondering which kind of tamale you would prefer. I would prefer both of them because I like the way that both of them taste.

When I was listening to the Tears for Fears albums with my little sister Julia yesterday I noticed that most of the songs that I liked that were from the 80's were by them. I also found out that most of the songs that I heard on the albums were different versions of the songs that I've heard. I noticed this when I was listening to Mad World that it sounded different from the version I've heard that I thought was the original. After a really dry fall it looks like we are finally going to be getting some rain this week. They are forecasting a chance of rain for the rest of this week into the New Year. Which is a ironic way to be ending this year since its been one of the driest years we've had in Houston. It's been clear and sunny all year long except for July when we had record breaking rainfall for the month.

My Christmas was good! On Christmas we woke up and unwrapped presents. Then we went to my Aunt Martha's house and we ate lasagna. The reason we had the lasagna was because we hadn't had it in a while since our oven hasn't been working and we needed it to make the lasagna. So Martha decided that we should have lasagna for our Christmas dinner. I liked it alot and I thought it was delicious! Then we went and unwrapped the presents that Martha and her Husband Tim gave us. They gave me these two books about dogs which I liked because I don't know much about dogs and I thought that it was good that she gave me those books so that I can learn about dogs from them. It was cold on Christmas which I didn't like but, I was happy because I got to wear my new jacket from Marshall's that my mom gave me. I thought that I had a good Christmas!

My older sister Tamara who lives in Dallas brought home her kitten named Oliver. She drove From Dallas to Houston with Oliver in a cage. We put Oliver in my little sister Julia's room and we made a litter box for it and we put it in her bathroom. When I met Oliver he started hissing at me because I smelled like the other cats that live in my house. I think Oliver is a cute kitten and he reminds me of this cat I had named Pj which looked like Oliver and was grey and white like Oliver is but, he was really fluffy and he had a spot on his face. I was worried that Oliver would be sick after having to be in the car for five hours when he was coming from Dallas to Houston but, he looked ok so I think he's fine. I hope Oliver likes staying in Juila's room and doesn't get sick. I'm happy that I finally got to see Tamara's kitten Oliver.

On December 23, 1989 the temperature got to 6 degrees in Houston. That's colder than when we get those really cold cold fronts. That's the lowest temperature i've seen Houston get into That's alot colder than it usually gets in Houston and it doesn't even get into the low 30's on some winters.

Today was really warm with a near record high of 81 in Houston and a new record high of 84 in Dallas. Those are really warm temperatures for winter in Texas.

Today is the first day of winter! Even though it doesn't feel like it with the highs getting into the 80's today. it's going to be cold for Christmas Though! The lows are supposed to get into the 30's on Christmas because of a cold front thats going to come on Friday Christmas Eve.

On The Weather Channel website they tell what happened on this day in history. I saw that today in 1984 there was a hurricane named Lili in the Atlantic Ocean with 80 mph winds. I was surprised that there would have been a hurricane this late in December since it was almost a month after the end of the hurricane season and the waters are usually too cold in the Atlantic Ocean at this time of the year to form a hurricane. I think that's interesting that there was a hurricane this late in December.

Recently my Yahoo account was hacked and was sending spam to my sister Julia. I had to change my email and my computer has been acting slow and it isn't letting me listen to music. The speakers turn on and work randomly then they stop working. I think this is annoying and I wish that they would stop hacking my computer!

My favorite ice cream is the cookies and cream ice cream from Blue Bell because it has oreos and vanilla ice cram in it. Which tastes good! It tastes like the oreo Mcflurry at McDonalds. So you can make your own oreo Mcflurry from the cookies and cream ice cream .

Dish network is giving us three free months of the Starz movie channels because we have been there customer for about ten years. They said that since we have been with them so long they have decided to give us three months of the Starz movie channels free of charge. I'm excited to be able to watch the Starz movie channels because they show all the new movies. I'm going to be watching alot of movies for the next three months!

I just looked at what the temperatures were going to be over the next week and I saw that the temperatures were going to be pretty warm with the highs in the 60's and 70's. The lows are only going to be in the low 40's which isn't warm but, it is alot warmer than it has been over the past few weeks when the temperatures got into the low 30's and high 20's. So there is going to be a break from the cold temperatures for the next few days.

Since it was my birthday I wanted to try a new food that I have never eaten before. I didn't know where to eat so I decided to go to Carrabba's and try something different from the menu. I decided to get the mancotti which is a pasta rolled into different cheeses. It kind of tasted like the lasagna but, the cheese was a little different in it. I liked it and I thought it was good but, I would probably get the lasagna next time. I enjoyed being able to go out to eat and to try something different from the menu which I don't get to do very often so, I was happy to be able to try something different for a change.

Today I turn 21!! That means that I can now legally buy beer yay!! But, that doesn't matter because I don't drink beer anyways. : ) I'm now a adult!!

The temperatures are going to be below freezing tonight so they gave us a freeze warning for Houston. They said that metro Houston would get up to 2 to 3 hours of freezing temperatures. The temperatures are supposed to get into the mid 20's tonight. That's cold.

It's another week of temperatures being in the 70's and then it changing into the 20's the next day! That's a huge change in temperatures! I wonder why we have been getting really strong cold fronts like this recently. It doesn't usually get that cold in Houston during the winter it usually only gets into the mid 30's during regular winters in Houston. There have been alot of cold fronts that have brought the temperatures to near record lows every week. I think that it's weird that there has been such a drop in temperatures recently.

I've been playing alot of retro games lately because they are alot cheaper now than when they came out. My favorite retro game is Tokyo Highway Battle for the Playstation 1. The graphics aren't that good and the controls aren't really that great either but, it is still a fun game. Especially if you like the Tokyo Xtreme Racer games for the Playstation 2 because it is like a older version of it. I also enjoyed playing Banjo Kazooie for the N64. It was a fun adventure game that I used to play with Faisal, Julia, and Adam when we were kids. I am playing Banjo Tooie wich is the sequel to Banjo kazooie and it is very different from the first one but, is still a really fun game to play. Those are my favorite retro games to play what are yours?

Since dad wanted me to find the videos of when we were kids. I looked at all of the old videos of when were kids and I thought it was funny that we looked so different. Mom and dad looked really different from what they look like now. It was also funny watching all those 1990's shows.

The white kitty is on my lap and she is really warm and is warming my lap up. I think cats should be used as chair warmers during the winter because they can warm your lap up when its cold. : )

Since I haven't made any of the popcorn my mom bought. I decided to make some because I was going to watch this movie called The Fast and The Furious (1954) on the Turner Classic Movies channel. I thought it was funny that it was the same name as the street racing movie called The Fast and The Furious. The new The Fast and The Furious isn't a remake of the old one but, it also has alot of car racing in it. The old The Fast and The Furious is about this truck driver that gets framed for running another truck driver off the road and he has to run away from the police so he finds this girl who's a race car driver and he goes to this race with her. He tries to hide his identity from the police but, he eventually gets caught and he decides to turn himself in.

After buying the really cheap cat food at Kroger's we finally got them some Friskies. Which is alot better than the food that Kroger makes I don't know if the Kroger food is unhealthy but, it doesn't have much taste and the cats really didn't like it. We had to feed them meat and other left overs so that they would stop begging us for it because they didn't like the Kroger's food. I recommend that you don't buy the Kroger's food and if you want to buy something cheap for your cats I suggest you buy the Pet Pride Meow Mix because that's what we usually feed the cats and they liked it.

Hey! we got a Christmas tree  Today! Since we have a Scion Tc we had to put it in the trunk and pull the backseats down to be able to fit the Christmas tree in. That was a problem because I didn't have anywhere to sit because my dad, my older brother, and me went to go get the Christmas tree and there was no more room left in the back for me to sit. So I had to sit on top of the folded seats and hold the Christmas Tree so it wouldn't fall out of the trunk. Luckily our house was right down the street from Kroger's which is where we got our tree from so I didn't have to hold onto the tree for very long. After driving slowly down the street we finally got home and we got the Christmas tree out of the car. We then put it in our house and we got the tree stand out and then we feed it some water

Today is the 1 year anniversary of when it snowed 1.20 inches in Houston.

After trying unsuccessfully to get some popcorn my mom finally got me some. I had tried to make some popcorn  earlier in the year and unfortunately I had burnt it and it was the last one! Then I got some popcorn when I went to the movies but, they put too much butter in it and it didn't taste good. So now I finally get to make some nice popcorn! 

The white kitty has been sleeping on the black chair in the study lately. She looks cute! : )

When my dad and I were waiting for our food to be ready at Phoencia. My dad wanted to know what kind of ice cream they were selling and she said that it was Italian ice cream and she offered us a sample of their strawberry ice cream. I thought it tasted good! There was also this ice cream that looked like humus. I asked her about it and she gave me a sample and I thought it tasted like coffee. I liked both of the ice creams and thought they tasted good!

I'm excited to see that they are going to show previews of the last FIA championship! I'm glad that they are going to do this because I've been wanting to see it but, the only channel that was showing it was Bloomberg and we don't get that channel anymore and SPEED can't show it because they have to show all of there other shows and there isn't any time for them to show the FIA championships. So i'm glad that there going to show the previews of the FIA races that were in this championship season.

When I woke up on Monday my mom told me that she had bought me some cheesy tuna to make for lunch! I was worried that I wouldn't be able to make it but, when I read the instructions I learned that it was actually easy to make. All I needed to do was drain the tuna add the pasta,milk,butter,sauce, and hot water. Then heat it up and then it was done. I was happy that it was easy to make and it was ready in 30 minutes! I ate almost all of it for lunch and for dinner because I thought it tasted good!

I thought the second episode was alot better then the first episode because it was fun watching Tanner Foust drift that Lancer Evo on the snowy mountains. I also liked the review that they did of the Aston Martin Vanquish with Rutledge Wood and when they made Tanner teach that blind guy how to drift and do doughnuts in the parking lot. I liked this episode and I hope that they will make more episodes like this. I can't wait to see the next episode on Sunday.

I just looked at what the temperatures were this morning and I saw that it was 29 degrees!! Ahh!! That's too cold for Houston and its only November. I think it' going to be a cold winter this year.

Since there was alot of left overs Martha invited us to come over and finish eating the rest of the Turkey, beans, carrots, ham, mashed potatoes, and stuffing. It was really good since I was really hungry this time because I didn't eat all of those appetizers like I did on Thanksgiving and I was really full by the time I got to eat the Thanksgiving dinner and I was too full and tired that I could not finish my apple pie! But, I was glad when my mom, Faisal, and Tamara brought over the rest of the other pies because I wanted to try them but, I was too full and tired to eat anymore! I tried the peach coppler pie today and I thought it was delicious! I'm glad that we got to eat two Thanksgiving dinners because I liked the food!

What are you thankful for? I'm thankful that Julia got to come home and have Thanksgiving with us because I didn't think that she was going to until she showed up with Tamara when she got home!

Since my dad had to go get boxes for the store he said that I could go with him since the store that he gets the boxes from is close to the Sharpstown mall where Gamexpress is. I was excited to see if they had finally fixed my ps2. I went in and told them that I had sent my ps2 to get it fixed and I showed them my receipt from them. they gave me the ps2 back and they told me that they had to replace the spindle because it wasn't working. They didn't charge me for it though because they were supposed to fix it in the first place. I got the ps2 and when we got home I plugged it in to see if it would work. I put in my blue Midnight Club disc and it finally worked!! I was glad that they fixed it because I didn't want to have to bring it back again and I don't think my dad would've let me bring it back either. I still think they charged me too much to fix it but, at least they fixed it and i'm glad to be able to play my pss2 again!!

I'm really excited that they have created a Top Gear in America! The first episode wasn't really that great but, it wasn't that bad either. They showed a cool helicopter and Viper chase in the beginning witch was fun to watch. The Lamborghini part kind of felt like I was watching the History on Lamborghini's which I liked but, most people might think is kind of boring. I hope they continue to make more episodes and have new seasons of American Top Gear!! 

Since I figured out that my ps2 wasn't reading the black/blue discs after I got my ps2 back form Gamexpress (which was the reason why I took it there in the first place)! I had called them and they had said for me to come back and to show them what games weren't working so I waited until I could get somebody to drive me there. Then on Sunday I finally got dad to let Faisal drive me there. When we got there they were having one of those low rider parties so we weren't sure if we wanted to go in there or not. We decided to go in and see if they were busy and they weren't. So we went to the Gamexpress booth and I told them that the ps2 still wasn't reading the discs so, they told me it would be fixed the next day. they called me today and told me that my ps2 was fixed! I hope they fixed it this time because I don't fell like going back there again.

When my dad and I where coming home from getting food at phoencia I saw about 10 Corvettes driving together from Briar Forest going to Westheimer. I thought it was a cool thing to see all those corvettes at once driving together!

I had the shaman noodles at Feng-Leng for dinner tonight. Witch is like spaghetti noodles with monglian beef and it tatses good!

Since I wrote the blog about spaghetti being the best cheapest food my mom decided to buy spaghetti from the grocery store and let me make it for lunch. I told her that I didn't know how to make the noodles so she told me that all I have to do was to boil the water in the pan and then put the noodles in and to wait for the noodles to be tender to know that it was ready!! She then made the noodles and I heated up the meat and poured the sauce on it. The spaghetti tasted good and was filling enough for Faisal and me to eat two plates for lunch!!

my favorite cheapest food is spaghetti because the noodles only cost about $1 dollar and it is easy and quick to make! It is also filling and tastes good with sauce and meat. You can still cook it by itself and it will still be a fulfilling meal to eat. Or you could put Parmesan cheese and butter with it which tastes delicious and is a good cheap food!

I went to Gamexpress to fix my ps2 because I was trying to clean the laser on it so that it would be able to read black/blue cds but, I had broken the reset strip so I went to the Sharps town mall to fix my ps2!! They had charged me 59.00 dollars which I think is a lot to fix a ps2. When I got back home and plugged it in it worked and could play the regular silver cds but, when I tried to play the ps2 with my blue cd it still didn't work!! So all that they did was put my ps2 back together!! It works the same way as it did before!! I just wasted 59.00 dollars for nothing!!

I'm excited to see that Top Gear the show that is on BCCA is coming to the U.S.A because I love that show and i'm excited to see what kind of cars their going to review because they usually review cars that you can get in Europe since Top Gear is based in England. The movies I can't wait to see is Wall Street because I saw the old one with my dad alot of times and I thought it was a good movie, so i can't wait to see the next one! I can't wait to see the last harry Potter movie because I've read all of the books and I want to see the ending in the movie. I also wan't to see 32:07 I because I read the book: Driver and it talked about this movie of them trying to race from New York to Los Angeles in 32 hours and 7 minutes! I think it is going to be a great movie to see and I can't wait to see it.

They are taking the cameras down on all of the traffic lights tomorrow do you think they should do this?

I was unplugging my mp3 player from the Xbox 360 then the screen went red and it wouldn't turn back on again, so I contacted the creative customer support to see if they could find a way to fix my mp3 player. They emailed me about 2 hours later and they gave me steps to see how they could get my mp3 player working again. They told me to plug it in to the back of my computer and to reset it so I tried that and it worked!! I was happy that it worked because I had all of my music stored in there and I didn't want to have to go find all of that music again and I wouldn't have any music to listen to anymore. So I am happy that they helped me fix it! : )

my favorite pet is a cat or a dog because they are enjoyable to play with and are not that hard to take care of especially cats* I like cats because they can jump in your lap and they start purring when they like you also their stomachs are really warm when they sit in your lap for a long time witch makes you feel good when your tired and reading a book! I like dogs because they are fun to play with and walk. They are sometimes hard to handle, but if you train them good then they can be fun pets!

I can't wait until it comes out i'm really excited about it and it looks great! I was just playing Driver 2 for the playstation since my playstation 2 doesn't work and i'm having it fixed! i was looking at the graphics of Driver 2 and remembering how I used to think they were really good graphics. I remember looking at the cut scenes of Driver 2 and wanting the graphics to be as good as the cut scenes were. I can't wait for Driver San Fransisco to come out because the graphics are alot better then in Driver 2 and it looks fun! I hope I can fix the xbox 360 by then so that I can play it all day without having to worry about it freezing!
