A Day in The Life of an Opossum Pg.11

Possy then went to sleep on some cotton and a big, green leaf that the mother mallard gave to Possy for finding her babies. The day was still going on, but it would soon be evening and then night. It was just another day, for an opossum named Possy. Possy didn't get much food that day, except for some rain water, but he didn't care, he just wanted some sleep! The end.

Too tired to go home, Possy found a big hole in the tree that he could rest in.

"My babies!" "Thanks Possy" said the mother mallard. "Welcome..." Said Possy exasperated, glad to finally be on solid ground. Although high ground. He just wanted to go home!

"Look, over there!" Screamed Possy with excitement. The mother mallard screamed with excitement also."Yay, I've found my babies!"

"My babies, my babies!" "What...Your not one of my babies?" said the mallard duck. "No, I am not!" Yelled Possy. Possy was now high in the air, about another 100 feet above the drainage pipe that got him in this mess in the first place. "Well if your not my baby, then maybe i'll just drop you..." Possy started to go "Quack, quack!" pretending to be a baby duck, but baby ducks don't quack and the mother mallard knew that. "Down you go!" said the mallard. "Wait there!" screamed Possy anxiously. "I see your babies!" Joining Josie Two Shoes in her Two Shoes Tuesday, click the link to join in, or see other entries.  http://www.josie2shoes.com/2014/06/two-shoes-tuesday-82-pretend-or-pop.html

Possy rose higher and higher, high above the ground, screaming and screaming! One of the construction workers saw Possy and tried to warn the crane operator, but it was too late....Possy was already 100 feet above the ground.

Possy was suddenly being lifted by a crane! The water that had fallen in the drainage pipe during the thunderstorm was now spilling onto Possy and he was struggling to hang on. Possy started to scream, "Help, help!" "Somebody help!"

While Possy was waiting for the rain to end, he became drowsy and he fell asleep. Possy dreamt that he was walking on a mountain on a clear blue day. He was walking happily along the mountain watching cat food fall from the sky. While watching this cat food Possy became thirsty and he started to drink from a water filled puddle that appeared out of nowhere. Possy drank and drank and drank. He drank until his stomach was full and then....

But on the way to the chicken smell Possy heard a loud rumble of thunder and went and took refuge in a drainage pipe near a construction site. Joining Josie Two Shoes in her Two Shoes Tuesday, click the link to join in, or see other entries.  http://www.josie2shoes.com/

One day “Possy” the Opossum was walking down an empty street. Upon walking down the street with a smile on his face Possy thought he smelled some chicken.
