San Marcos River!

Image
On Sunday my dad and I went to the San Marcos river to swim. I was really surprised when I jumped into the river. It was over 100 degrees outside and the river was still cold. That's because the water comes from springs which get their water from underground. Also since the water comes from underground their was plenty of it. The river didn't seem to be affected by the drought and the water was flowing rapidly. A little too rapidly me and my dad got caught in the current. Are bodies were flown down the current making it hard to swim. We got out ok but, are arms and legs got scratched up by the rivers rock slides. We probably should have rented one of those tubes. Either way I think San Marcos is a fun place to swim and cool off. Just make sure you stay away from those rock slides. That's what pulled us into the current.            http://southwestpaddler.com/docs/guad7.html                       ...

I Saw The Peacocks!

I saw the peacocks yesterday. I was wondering where they were because I haven't seen them in awhile. I don't think they are sleeping in our trees anymore because I don't hear them in the morning like I usually do. Maybe are trees are too weak for them to sleep on. I saw some fallen tree branches after we had those showers on Wednesday. I miss hearing the peacocks in the morning but, I don't think they should sleep in our trees. I hope they found a safe place to sleep.  I just wanted to show you another video of the peacocks. If you want to see more videos of the peacocks and other animals come visit my youtube channel.  http://www.youtube.com/user/jojojob75?feature=mhsn

Animal News 2!

Where are the peacocks? I haven't seen them in a while. I think they may have moved to a different part of the neighborhood. I hope they're ok. White kitty scares off a raccoon that was trying to get some of her food. I definitely think Patches is gone. Maybe he found a different home. I miss Patches! My mom has been seeing snakes in our front yard. My dad says it's because of the heat wave but, I would think there would be less snakes during a heat wave. That's all I can think of. I'll let y'all know if I find out anything new about Patches or the Peacocks.

I Made Another Blog!

Hey, I just made a another blog that's just going to talk about the weather. I made the weather blog because I had filled up all of the pages on this blog and I wanted to use those pages for other things so, i'm going to have two separate blogs now. This blog is mostly going to be about animals and the other blog is only going to be about the weather. Don't worry i'm still going to make posts about random stuff like I always do but, i'm mostly going to make posts about animals. So, come check out my new weather blog. It's mostly going to be about Houston's weather but, I might make some posts about other people's weather too so, come check it out. http://www.josephsdailyweatherdairy.blogspot.com/

Baby Possum!

Image
So, maybe Patches did have some babies. I just saw a baby possum outside my front door eating the white kitty's food. I know it was a baby possum because it was the size of a rat. I'm surprised the white kitty didn't attack it. I enjoyed watching it lift it's paws to take a drink from the white kitty's bowl. I wonder why it's mother wasn't close by to protect it. Maybe she was hiding in the bushes or something. I tried to get a video of it but, my camera doesn't work that well at night. I hope I see it again. http://razzberrycorner.blogspot.com/2010/07/baby-opossum.html

Animal News!

Image
I saw the impostor kitty a couple of days ago. Oliver went back to Dallas on Sunday after spending a couple of weeks in my sister Tamara's old room. The white kitty has decided that she likes to sleep in boxes.    I saw a possum that was not patches near my front door. I knew it wasn't patches because it was smaller. I think it might have been a baby possum. Maybe Patches had babies. That could have been why it's stomach looked so weird. I still haven't seen Patches. I wonder where he/she is. I hope Patches is ok. Is the heat wave hurting the peacocks? I feel bad for them they have to look for food during the day in the middle of this heat wave. I hope their getting enough water. I left a bowl of water for them just in case. Speaking of water bowls I decided it was time to throw out Simon's old water bowl. It had electrical tape hanging on the side of it to hold it together and it was dirty. I was afraid to give Simon a different bowl because I tho...

Sat In A Prius!

Image
When my dad and I saw that one of the Prius's at the Toyota dealership was unlocked we had to go inside. The first thing I noticed was that the buttons on the steering wheel where easy to get to with your thumbs. You don't have to look at them while your driving. Also the gear shifter felt like a computer mouse. Which I thought was kind of cool since it was a hybrid car. Despite these things there were some things that I didn't like about the Prius. The chairs weren't that comfortable and the visibility was bad in the back. I don't think that matters though because they probably have sensors that beep when you are about to back in to something. Overall I think the Prius is a good car for someone that wants to save money on gas.                                             http://technotomotive.com                   ...

Patches!

This is a video of a possum that I named Patches. He usually sleeps in our trash can but, I haven't seen him lately. Is his stomach supposed to look like that? I hope is ok.

SRS: Street Racing Syndicate!

Image
While I've been looking for a job and getting scammed I've also been playing a old street racing game on the ps2. This game came out on August 31, 2004. Around the same time that Need For Speed Under ground 2 came out. On the top at the bottom is a picture of Need For Speed Underground 2 below it is a picture of SRS: Street Racing Syndicate. Both of the games look the same but, are a little different. In SRS the cars get damaged and they need to be repaired but, in NFSU 2 the cars don't get damaged or need to be repaired. They might get scratched in a race but, they won't get damaged. Also the cars in SRS drive a little differently than in NFSU 2. The cars don't brake as good in SRS and you have to drift in to the turns which makes it kind of fun but, also kind of annoying when you miss the braking point and hit a wall or something. Then your car gets damaged and we'll need to be repaired later on. Another difference about the cars that I like in SRS is that...

More Scams!

I had put a post on Craigslist about me wanting to get a job. I have been looking for a job for awhile but, I haven't been able to get one yet so, before I went to bed on Saturday I thought that I should make a post on Craigslist about me wanting to get a job. I had put my cell phone number so, that they could call me. On Sunday morning when I picked up my cell phone I noticed that I had a text message saying that this guy will pay my $550 dollars biweekly. I thought wow that's a good deal! So, I responded and he told me to get on Yahoo instant messanger so, that he could train me to put ads on Craigslist. He told me to pick a city and to copy and paste something that he wrote on to the post so, I did that and I clicked the post button and I hit continue. Right after I hit continue it said that I needed to pay before I could post it since I was trying to post a ad in Houston which costs $25. So, I thought about it for a minute since I didn't like the idea of paying for some...

Jazz Camcorder!

I got my Jazz camcorder dv151 in the mail today. I had alot of trouble getting it to turn on at first because I had put in bad batteries and also I had put the sd memory card in the wrong way so, it got stuck and I had to get my brother to help me get it out. After I finally got the sd memory card out and put in the right way I got some new batteries and I put them in the camcorder. I pressed the on and off button and it came on. The camera isn't the best camera the screen is kind of fuzzy and there is no charger for it but, for the price I think it good camera. It still is better than my old one and it can connect right to my computer. I haven't been able to record anything on it yet because I think that my sd memory card is locked. Hopefully I will be able to record videos on it after I figure out how to unlock my memory card. Anyways i'm glad that I camera that can take pictures and record videos.

Impostor kitty Attacks The White Kitty!

Just now at around 1:20 am I heard a loud hissing sound coming from outside where the white kitty's food is and when I ran downstairs to go and open the front door. My mom was standing behind the door telling me she just saw the impostor kitty. So, now I know that the impostor kitty and the white kitty have been fighting each other. Maybe the impostor kitty was mad because the white kitty didn't leave any food for it. When I opened the front door the white kitty ran inside and I put the bowl of water and the plate of cat food inside the study where I keep her from the other cats that live in my house. After I had finished putting the white kitty inside the study I grabbed a handful of cat food from the cat bowl in the kitchen and I threw it outside for the impostor kitty. I hope it comes back and eats the cat food before the raccoon's do. At least I know that the impostor kitty is still coming by my house. I hope the white kitty and the impostor kitty resolve their issues...

I Haven't Seen The Impostor Kitty In Awhile!

I haven't seen the impostor kitty in awhile but, I have been seeing little scratches on the white kitty's nose. Maybe they got into another fight. Also the white kitty and the little kitty have started hissing at each other again. I think it has something to do with the impostor kitty since they look alike. I hope the impostor kitty is ok. I would keep as a pet but, the other kitties would fight with it. I can still give it some food whenever I see it. I'll let yall know if I ever see it again.

I Bought A Camera!

Since the camera that I use is almost six years old and has a lot of problems I decided that I was going to go and look for one on ebay. I wanted to get a simple one for $20 so, I bought a Jazz camcorder. It was exactly $20 dollars and some change. I didn't know I could get a camera for that cheap. I think it might even be better than my Sony camera that cost $500 dollars when it was new. Also the Jazz camcorder that I bought has a memory card slot and it has a usb port so, I can hook it right up to my computer. Also I will be able to save money by not having to buy dvds anymore. The only thing that I don't like about though is that it requires AA batteries so, I'll have to keep replacing the batteries on it unless, it comes with a charger but, I don't know if it does though. I can't wait to get it in the mail.

My First Vintage T-Shirt!

Image
This is a picture of the B-52s shirt that got on Thursday for $8.95 on ebay. The front of it has the B-52s logo on it with the name of their 1989 album Cosmic Thing then, the back of it says X-Fest III 91X Sat. August 18, 1990 Aztec Bowl. San Diego then it has the names of the other bands that were playing there. When I got it I only wore it for a couple of minutes because the people that sold it to me said that I have to hand wash it since it is a vintage shirt and that I might ruin it if I wash in the washing machine so, since I don't know how to hand wash clothes I decided not to wear it until I learned how to. Until then i'm just gong to keep it in my closet. I'm glad that I got it. I've been wanting to get a B-52s Cosmic Thing T-shirt.

Save Your Band Shirts!

When I was looking for band shirts on ebay I saw that some of the prices of the shirts were $100 dollars. Especially if they had never been worn before. So, I was thinking that you should save the shirts that you get from concerts because you could then sell them later for a higher price on ebay. I think i'm going to start collecting band shirts from the 80's because I like 80's music alot. I just recently bought a B-52s Cosmic Thing shirt from 1990 on ebay for $9 dollars. Also it has never been worn before which I think is good because I don't like wearing people's used shirts. I could probably sell it for $20 or $30 dollars if I wanted to but, I think i'm going to keep it though just for fun. Just thought I should tell yall this so, that you'll know to save your shirts the next time you go to a concert.

The Cameras Are Back On in Houston!

On Sunday I beat L.A. Noire! My Xbox is still working but, I don't know how long it'll last though. I hope it keeps working through September at least. I might've have gotten a new by then. Also they have turned the red light Cameras back on in Houston. I had made a post about this in November when they decided to turn the cameras off and I had asked if you thought that this was a good idea. I don't think it's a bad idea but, when they had turned the cameras off everybody stopped worrying about the cameras and they started running the red lights again. I think they need to install something in the cars that will make them stop or slow down when there is a red light. That way no one will have anymore accidents and then they won't have to worry about running the red lights anymore. I'm sure someone is developing something like that or has developed something like that before. It would help the people that are drunk and don't know what they are doing or, al...

My Xbox 360 is Damaged!

Yesterday when I was playing Midnight Club Los Angeles on my Xbox 360 I noticed that the fans were louder than the last time I was playing it. So, I asked a Xbox 360 repair man why the fans were louder and he said that it was probably because of the bolted on X-clamps that were put on the Xbox before I had bought it. I don't know if my Xbox 360 is repairable or not but, it would probably cost about as much to fix it as it would to buy another one of them. Plus if I buy one from a store than I can get a warranty on it so, that if it breaks I can get it fixed for free. It only costs $99 dollars to buy a used Xbox 360 console with a warranty from Game Stop. That's not a bad price considering that it costs about $60 dollars to buy a newly released video game.

My Xbox 360 Seems to be Working!

On the first day of July I finished  fixing my Xbox 360. I replaced the bolted on x-clamps with the original ones and then I cleaned the heat sinks. After that I put some Arctic Silver thermal paste onto the heat sinks. Then I put the Xbox back together. At first it didn't work but, after I had left it on for a couple of hours it started to work again. I've played with it through this past week and it still seems to be working fine. It's not making any weird noises and i'm not having any problems when i'm playing my games. Actually the games seemed more responsive. I remember when I first tried to fix it the cars in Midnight Club Los angeles seemed to be having trouble. I was pressing the accelerator button as hard as I could and the cars were having trouble getting over 50 mph. At first I thought that this was because I was driving a slower car but, after I had tried to fix my Xbox again the cars weren't having any trouble getting over 50 mph. Also the cars in ...

Sun, Sea, and Mountains!

Image
This 4th of July weekend my dad, my brother, and me went to Galveston and San Antonio. On Sunday we went to Galveston and we swam in the beach. The water was kind of dirty but, there wasn't any trash floating around in it like there was when we went there last year. Then on Monday we went to San Antonio to swim in the Rio Frio river. I liked going there because it was in a forested area and it was near alot of small mountains. The water wasn't really that deep in most areas of the river but, you were still able to swim in it though. There was also alot of slippery rocks that we had to walk through to get to the deeper parts of the river. I felt like I was swimming in a pool except that there was alot of sand and some fishes in it. I saw a golden colored fish that I wanted to grab but, it swam away too fast. After we went swimming in the Rio Frio river we went to eat dinner in San Antonio. I was hoping to see some fireworks while we were there but, I don't kn...
