More Scams!

I had put a post on Craigslist about me wanting to get a job. I have been looking for a job for awhile but, I haven't been able to get one yet so, before I went to bed on Saturday I thought that I should make a post on Craigslist about me wanting to get a job. I had put my cell phone number so, that they could call me. On Sunday morning when I picked up my cell phone I noticed that I had a text message saying that this guy will pay my $550 dollars biweekly. I thought wow that's a good deal! So, I responded and he told me to get on Yahoo instant messanger so, that he could train me to put ads on Craigslist. He told me to pick a city and to copy and paste something that he wrote on to the post so, I did that and I clicked the post button and I hit continue. Right after I hit continue it said that I needed to pay before I could post it since I was trying to post a ad in Houston which costs $25. So, I thought about it for a minute since I didn't like the idea of paying for some...

Jazz Camcorder!

I got my Jazz camcorder dv151 in the mail today. I had alot of trouble getting it to turn on at first because I had put in bad batteries and also I had put the sd memory card in the wrong way so, it got stuck and I had to get my brother to help me get it out. After I finally got the sd memory card out and put in the right way I got some new batteries and I put them in the camcorder. I pressed the on and off button and it came on. The camera isn't the best camera the screen is kind of fuzzy and there is no charger for it but, for the price I think it good camera. It still is better than my old one and it can connect right to my computer. I haven't been able to record anything on it yet because I think that my sd memory card is locked. Hopefully I will be able to record videos on it after I figure out how to unlock my memory card. Anyways i'm glad that I camera that can take pictures and record videos.

Impostor kitty Attacks The White Kitty!

Just now at around 1:20 am I heard a loud hissing sound coming from outside where the white kitty's food is and when I ran downstairs to go and open the front door. My mom was standing behind the door telling me she just saw the impostor kitty. So, now I know that the impostor kitty and the white kitty have been fighting each other. Maybe the impostor kitty was mad because the white kitty didn't leave any food for it. When I opened the front door the white kitty ran inside and I put the bowl of water and the plate of cat food inside the study where I keep her from the other cats that live in my house. After I had finished putting the white kitty inside the study I grabbed a handful of cat food from the cat bowl in the kitchen and I threw it outside for the impostor kitty. I hope it comes back and eats the cat food before the raccoon's do. At least I know that the impostor kitty is still coming by my house. I hope the white kitty and the impostor kitty resolve their issues...

I Haven't Seen The Impostor Kitty In Awhile!

I haven't seen the impostor kitty in awhile but, I have been seeing little scratches on the white kitty's nose. Maybe they got into another fight. Also the white kitty and the little kitty have started hissing at each other again. I think it has something to do with the impostor kitty since they look alike. I hope the impostor kitty is ok. I would keep as a pet but, the other kitties would fight with it. I can still give it some food whenever I see it. I'll let yall know if I ever see it again.

I Bought A Camera!

Since the camera that I use is almost six years old and has a lot of problems I decided that I was going to go and look for one on ebay. I wanted to get a simple one for $20 so, I bought a Jazz camcorder. It was exactly $20 dollars and some change. I didn't know I could get a camera for that cheap. I think it might even be better than my Sony camera that cost $500 dollars when it was new. Also the Jazz camcorder that I bought has a memory card slot and it has a usb port so, I can hook it right up to my computer. Also I will be able to save money by not having to buy dvds anymore. The only thing that I don't like about though is that it requires AA batteries so, I'll have to keep replacing the batteries on it unless, it comes with a charger but, I don't know if it does though. I can't wait to get it in the mail.

My First Vintage T-Shirt!

Image
This is a picture of the B-52s shirt that got on Thursday for $8.95 on ebay. The front of it has the B-52s logo on it with the name of their 1989 album Cosmic Thing then, the back of it says X-Fest III 91X Sat. August 18, 1990 Aztec Bowl. San Diego then it has the names of the other bands that were playing there. When I got it I only wore it for a couple of minutes because the people that sold it to me said that I have to hand wash it since it is a vintage shirt and that I might ruin it if I wash in the washing machine so, since I don't know how to hand wash clothes I decided not to wear it until I learned how to. Until then i'm just gong to keep it in my closet. I'm glad that I got it. I've been wanting to get a B-52s Cosmic Thing T-shirt.

Save Your Band Shirts!

When I was looking for band shirts on ebay I saw that some of the prices of the shirts were $100 dollars. Especially if they had never been worn before. So, I was thinking that you should save the shirts that you get from concerts because you could then sell them later for a higher price on ebay. I think i'm going to start collecting band shirts from the 80's because I like 80's music alot. I just recently bought a B-52s Cosmic Thing shirt from 1990 on ebay for $9 dollars. Also it has never been worn before which I think is good because I don't like wearing people's used shirts. I could probably sell it for $20 or $30 dollars if I wanted to but, I think i'm going to keep it though just for fun. Just thought I should tell yall this so, that you'll know to save your shirts the next time you go to a concert.

The Cameras Are Back On in Houston!

On Sunday I beat L.A. Noire! My Xbox is still working but, I don't know how long it'll last though. I hope it keeps working through September at least. I might've have gotten a new by then. Also they have turned the red light Cameras back on in Houston. I had made a post about this in November when they decided to turn the cameras off and I had asked if you thought that this was a good idea. I don't think it's a bad idea but, when they had turned the cameras off everybody stopped worrying about the cameras and they started running the red lights again. I think they need to install something in the cars that will make them stop or slow down when there is a red light. That way no one will have anymore accidents and then they won't have to worry about running the red lights anymore. I'm sure someone is developing something like that or has developed something like that before. It would help the people that are drunk and don't know what they are doing or, al...

My Xbox 360 is Damaged!

Yesterday when I was playing Midnight Club Los Angeles on my Xbox 360 I noticed that the fans were louder than the last time I was playing it. So, I asked a Xbox 360 repair man why the fans were louder and he said that it was probably because of the bolted on X-clamps that were put on the Xbox before I had bought it. I don't know if my Xbox 360 is repairable or not but, it would probably cost about as much to fix it as it would to buy another one of them. Plus if I buy one from a store than I can get a warranty on it so, that if it breaks I can get it fixed for free. It only costs $99 dollars to buy a used Xbox 360 console with a warranty from Game Stop. That's not a bad price considering that it costs about $60 dollars to buy a newly released video game.

My Xbox 360 Seems to be Working!

On the first day of July I finished  fixing my Xbox 360. I replaced the bolted on x-clamps with the original ones and then I cleaned the heat sinks. After that I put some Arctic Silver thermal paste onto the heat sinks. Then I put the Xbox back together. At first it didn't work but, after I had left it on for a couple of hours it started to work again. I've played with it through this past week and it still seems to be working fine. It's not making any weird noises and i'm not having any problems when i'm playing my games. Actually the games seemed more responsive. I remember when I first tried to fix it the cars in Midnight Club Los angeles seemed to be having trouble. I was pressing the accelerator button as hard as I could and the cars were having trouble getting over 50 mph. At first I thought that this was because I was driving a slower car but, after I had tried to fix my Xbox again the cars weren't having any trouble getting over 50 mph. Also the cars in ...

Sun, Sea, and Mountains!

Image
This 4th of July weekend my dad, my brother, and me went to Galveston and San Antonio. On Sunday we went to Galveston and we swam in the beach. The water was kind of dirty but, there wasn't any trash floating around in it like there was when we went there last year. Then on Monday we went to San Antonio to swim in the Rio Frio river. I liked going there because it was in a forested area and it was near alot of small mountains. The water wasn't really that deep in most areas of the river but, you were still able to swim in it though. There was also alot of slippery rocks that we had to walk through to get to the deeper parts of the river. I felt like I was swimming in a pool except that there was alot of sand and some fishes in it. I saw a golden colored fish that I wanted to grab but, it swam away too fast. After we went swimming in the Rio Frio river we went to eat dinner in San Antonio. I was hoping to see some fireworks while we were there but, I don't kn...

Happy Canada Day!

Image
Today is Canada's independence day! I only know this because of the calendar that I use to see what dose of coumadin  i'm supposed to take that day.  Canada Day is the day that Canada gained it's independence from the United Kingdom. Under the British North America Act of 1867 the three British colonies were formed into a single nation called Canada. I just thought I should share that with everyone just in case no one knew about it. I also thought that it was cool that they won their independence from the United Kingdom in July just like we did. I wonder why they didn't say anything about on Google? If you want to know anymore about Canada Day you can go and search about it on Wikipedia or, on some other website that has some information about it. Wikipedia is where I found my information though. I hope you had a good Canada Day! Or, at least a good July 1, if you didn't celebrate it.  : )     http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canada_Day ...

Impostor Kitty Video!

Hey this is the video of the impostor kitty "on the top" and below it is the video of the little kitty. I could only take a video of the impostor kitty at night since it only comes to eat at night so, I don't know if you'll be able to tell the difference between the impostor kitty and the little kitty. That's why it's called the impostor kitty! I hope you enjoy watching the videos!

I Got My Xbox 360 To Work!

Yesterday I opened up my Xbox 360 with my Xbox 360 opener tool and I replaced the modified fan with a unmodified one from my brother's broken Xbox. When I turned it on it still had the three red lights on it. So, I left it on and in about thirty minutes it started to smell like something was burning so, then I turned it off and then I turned it back on again and It worked! Just to make sure though that nothing was burning in side of it I decided to open it back up again and I couldn't find anything that looked like it was burning in it. So, I put it back together and I put my Midnight Club Los Angeles cd in it and I played it with no problems. There wasn't anymore burning smell and the fans were a lot quieter. I can barely hear them now. I'm not sure if it is completely fixed or not but, so far it seems like it is working fine. I hope it doesn't have anymore problems, I may have to add some more thermal paste to the heat sink later on. I think that might have been w...

My Screw Up!

Yesterday when I was on ebay looking for a B-52's cd to buy I found a cassette tape that I thought was a cd and I bought it. I was annoyed when I found this out because I don't have a type player and I wanted to be able to transfer the songs to my mp3 player. Now I have to either go and buy a tape player or, I can just try to find the cd version of the B-52's album that I was trying to buy. The good news is that the tape only cost $4.00 dollars with shipping and handling so, I didn't lose much but, now I have to spend about $4.00 dollars more to buy the cd. Oh well, I would've asked for a refund but, they had already shipped it and I don't think I can ask them for a refund when they have shipped it because it says cassette in the description. Also I would have to pay $2.99 for shipping and handling and then I would just lose more money. I'll have to make sure that I read the description more carefully the next time I buy something from ebay rather than just ...

Dew Points!

During this year's heat wave I learned something new about the heat index that I didn't know before. I had always thought that the high humidity levels were the major cause of the high heat indexes but, on this past Tuesday when the heat index was 108 degrees. I noticed that the humidity levels weren't that high and the dew point levels were. The humidity level was 46% and the dew point level was 70. So I learned that the high dew point levels were the cause of the high heat indexes not the humidity levels. Although they can still help to rise the heat index though. So, that means that having a chance for rain like we did on Tuesday is not necessarily a good thing because if we don't get the rain and we get really high dew point levels then it could make it seem a lot hotter outside. Which isn't good for a city like Houston that already gets hot temperatures during the summer months. I'm glad that we've been getting some rain though.

We Got Some Rain!

Image
The white kitty was surprised by the rain yesterday when I let her outside the front door. She probably forgot that it rained in Houston and she just walked outside like normal until she felt little rain drops falling on her head and she ran back inside. I was really happy because we haven't had alot of rain in a while and we are in a exceptional drought. We got over an inch and a half of rain in my area which is good but, that's not going to stop the drought though but, at least it will help. There are more chances for rain today and I can see alot of rain on the radar so, hopefully will get some more. The more the merrier!

First Day of The Summer Season!

Today is the first day of  the summer season! We'll actually April was the first day of the summer season. Well for Houston it was anyway. The good news is that we have some chances of rain this week. Today, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday there is going to be a chance for rain. I hope we can finally get over a inch of rain. I was looking at the Houston drought monitor yesterday and I saw that we've had the driest Oct-May ever recorded. I also read that we are in a exceptional drought and that means that Houston is under a water emergency. That's not good. The only time we ever got over 2.00 inches of rain this year was on January 24. Which was the day that I had my heart surgery. I'm hoping that they don't change the forecast and that we get some heavy rain. They keep saying that we have a 60 percent chance for rain and then they change it to having only a 30 percent chance for rain. I'm hope they change it back. We need the rain. http://water.weather.gov/ahp...

Happy Father's day everyone!
